Well it's that time of the year and I have a couple of Halloween tunes this year. Here's the first a yearly post for me for a long time now. "Monster Mash" is a 1962 novelty song and the best-known song by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. The song was released as a single on Gary S. Paxton's Garpax Records label in August 1962 along with a full-length LP called The Original Monster Mash, which contained several other monster-themed tunes. The "Monster Mash" single was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on October 20–27 of that year, just before Halloween. It has been a perennial holiday favorite ever since. |

Rik, I listened but I hid under my blankie while it played...scared me to the heebeejeebes...Seriously, several years ago I visited new barber...turned out he was the drummer on this original recording and toured about 6 months a year with various groups around Europe and USA. This recording is better that the original...Excellent recording...now I'm scared again!! |
Reply: Jerry old friend thanks for the "better than the original" comment. Its always nice to know my console work is appreciated. As for visiting a new barber, I haven't visited one since 82. (;-) |
