In the meantime you can change your preferences to stop the POP ups everytime someone views your profile. It is in the User Control Panel.

Prillian - you actually used this? Okay I thought no one did - I'll reinstall.

Spell Check - hmmm where did that go?

Prillian, yeah I used this alot. It was more accurate in telling who was online now than the little key at the bottom of the forum, plus when you get a PM it automatically pops it up & opens it for you.

Will look into that - "Guests or Anonymous" (same thing) aren't supposed to have access at all to member info.

There must be some new method of blocking them I just haven't found it yet!

Yep, I haven't reinstalled the SS button - working on other glitches before I start modifying scripts ;-)

well that proves it can be accessed by several diff routes...actually it doesnt take a genius to know that it is my "beloved" stalker who no doubt will send me yet another pm on ksk saying "oh no not me this time" when I know it is...it is so transparent, no need to get my crystal ball out for this one

I had the Datacenter look into the speed issue with the site. Has anyone noticed an increase or improvement? Page loads should be faster - let me know your results. If you can provide a TraceRoute that would help tremendously. Thanks

I noticed since the forum's overhaul it was faster for me! Can't give you a tracert since my network at work won't allow it.

Hey Phil where is the Prillian? I used this quite a bit. Also not sure if it was a moderator only perk, but there used to be a little eye icon in the upper right grey strip of icons that shows who viewed that topic & when.

the eye icon is still available in your profiles it tells me how many times annonymous has viewed me since the updates

Yeah the Anonymous profle view is starting to get quite annoying. On my end i'm getting an annonymous profile view almost every post & it pops up every time.

Thanks I don't want to necessarily turn the pop ups off, I did like to know when someone was looking me up, however now you can't tell. SOme are members, most are anon. ok I have discovered 2 ways of viewing profiles annon....first is simply click on the names right at the bottom of the front page...you have two sections here...who is currently active and who has been in forum over the last 24 hours...both of those lists give access to profiles. the 2nd way Phil I did with you...I clicked on the number of posts you have made and that took me to a page with your post and an active link to your profile. Hope this is of help. Annon has now chalked up 48 profile views for me...dear wee chap

Go in without logging in. There are SEVERAL ways to view profile. Anywhere a users name is, you can click on it from that point. In the replies column which shows who has replied to the thread, every name in that section is profile linked. All names at the bottom of the index are linked.
