The lounge is for anything discussed OTHER than karaoke.

Well, I hope you don't delete my account. I almost always like to just "lurk". I rarely find it even remotely necessary to post anything as I can usually find answers to just about any question that I may have or didn't know to ask until I read the answer here. If I don't find it readily I do a system search and usually find what I'm looking for. I've learned so much from you guys just by reading what you all say here and throughout the forums that I have access to. This is a great site and I for one appreciate it.

Hello.

For those that don't know me (due to my paucity of posts) my name is Kappy. I'm just getting my post in so I don't get booted for inactivity.

Personally, I'm glad he got the boot. His rant got on my nerves !

-I'll likely be posting more because I've been asked to Mod elsewhere, and I wish to phase out of my participation on the other sites bboards assuming I take up the position. Makes it tough to participate and Mod as well (on social bboards- IMHO)

Charmin hows the guitar you had some work done on ? The Ibanez acoustic/electric.. I just did my first pickup change on a stratocaster was scared xitless but the quality of work all too many do around here I assumed I'm better off doing myself slowly.. been learning to work on my own guitars... Playing, well- a little more- but spending more time trying to sing. Still have yet to play and sing...Just an area I haven't tried yet.

Ha- there's a story that goes along with that guitar. I'm still playing it, though I'm looking for another- something with a bit more volume when played acoustically, though I'll always keep this one. Funny, I was just browsing Ebay ads before coming here and seeing your post. I'll PM ya the details, too long for here. I'm making myself play daily... doing a lot of copycatting from online videos. (just to add a bit more styling, yanno, I'm too old for "lessons", but you can sure pick up a lot of stuff from just watching other acoustic players... techniques and all that) I need to get out of my rut of just basic bluegrass rythming and fingerstyle playing. I need some pizazz... charisma... you know.

Sorry I hadn't seen your response earlier... how rude of me:)

Hiya Chuck... you and Gigi sure are scarce... good to see ya pop in:)

Hello all,

Just wanted to advise you (some may already know) that yesterday I deleted several hundred members that never Activated their accounts.

There are several hundred more that although their accounts are "Activated" they are not "ACTIVE" - this means they have never posted in the forums.

I realize that many have been active in Singers Showcase - however they have never once posted in the forums.

Part of the membership is being a participant. I would like to delete all those accounts that have not participated by posting in the forums but fear that I may accidently delete some that are active in SS.

In order to avoid this problem please advise everyone that you know to at least post once in the forums.

Can this be, or has it been re-evaluated because it's probably a better idea for some people to just be involved in the showcase area and NOT in the forums (I'm a prime example of this lol)

Yes, I must insist that Foxegurl be deleted if she does not return to subbing immediately in the showcase;)

(and I think... somehow... we've misplaced Kappy again..?!?!) :D
