12 years as a KJ, but my main focus is guitar. i have played since i was was 6, and been in multiple bands. my old bands used to unplug my mic because my singing was sobad. karaoke, and my wife, helped me improve. my main passion is still guitar, but karaoke and live sound have taken ahold of my life as well. after 9 years as a trainer at Guitar Center (back when they actually gave a crap about knowledge) i am much farther along than when i began. i have given up on the original band idea and am doing a cover band project now, but my wives support it and it makes me hapy when i can't be running karaoke.

Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and when I got the opportunity to volunteer at a navy base radio station, I jumped at it. That led to a stint with Canada's national radio network, the CBC, after leaving the navy.

After four years I left radio and joined the federal fire department. I also started a part-time mobile DJ service, which I operated while progressing through the ranks to eventually retire as Chief of Emergency Services. But the DJ business eventually got to me after 30 years of dealing with bridezillas and haughty venue managers, so I turned to Karaoke.

Fifteen years later, I'm at the same two weekly gigs, and lovin' every minute.
