I am struggling to connect Polsen HDM-16-S mic to my Pyle Pro PSUFM1235BT karaoke system. I bough a XLR(female) to 1/4” adapter. The XLR connects to the mic and the other end in the karaoke mic input. Yet the mic doesn’t work. Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Don't know much about those toy systems, but is the mic volume turned up on the Pyle?

Yes the mic volume was on highest possible level.

Lonnie is correct. These are toys. Especially the Pyle Pro karaoke system. Most of us here are professionals using professional equipment. The Pyle Pro karaoke system you mention might be good for a 9 year old, though.

But, if you did want to use it... you would have to get an XLR to 1/4" microphone cable. But don't expect any kine of quality sound with this system. It's basically made for children.

yes i did bought this for my 10yr old daughter. While the intent is still there for a more pro system i thought this would be a good system to get started for her. BTW I did tried connecting XLR (female) to 1/4" adapter, connecting XLR end to mic and the other to karoke mic input but no luck.

You might want to look for a mic more in the vein of a singing machine mic. Professional mics don't work well with toy karaoke systems.

You're right. Since there is no mic pre-amps or gain control to boost the mic signal on the karaoke machine, a professional mic probably won't work.

Usually these toy systems come with their own mics that will work with them.

The speaker says in the descriptions I see say "comes with wireless mic". Did yours not come with a mic?
Some mics do not transition well from XLR to 1/4", you possibly bought the wrong cord too, on the 1/4" end is there 1 black ring or 2? If it's two rings - referred to as a balanced 1/4" TRS (tip/ring/sleeve or stereo), you need a single ring referred to as an unbalanced 1/4" TS (tip/sleeve or mono). I'm guessing the 1/4" input on the speakers is not a balanced input which is why you are getting no sound.
