Karma, along with Bob Latshaw's other offerings are very good. we should take that as a positive but keeping in mind that we buy his products "As Is" with no warrantee.
(This is how I look at it)

Karma users should know this by now. I was one of the first to promote KJfilemanager when it was first created and still by far is one of the best products ever created for karaoke users.

Enjoy his products!!!

I still run Karma, but I am working with a coding partner to create our own hosting app.

Actually considering KJams.

Kjams is nice, i have the full licensed version of both one and two.

Just forwarning...

Import a temporary karaoke folder first and get the naming structure right using spaces between dashes where needed.

If you import your main folder they will auto name and import with no spaces.

Does anyone use Club DJ Pro VJ? I'm still using version 4. Version 5 was ok. The couple after that were horrible. Pretty sure they are out of business. Their webpage still says the next version would be out in spring of 2016.!!!!!! Technical support from them was always terrible. I used Karma for awhile and really liked it. But I needed a program that better fit my needs. Have been trying out some different software, but not satisfied. I know I will have to change programs sometime, just trying to find the right combination.

Karafun is still #1 in my books.
I'm currently using it for 12hr shows, 7 days/nights per week, it runs perfect.

Simply Search a track, then right-click to play.
Best of all it's FREE!!!

That is great if you like taking time away from other things you could be doing more of that could enhance your show. I make use of almost every advanced feature I can get my hands on that allows me to concentrate more on my singers than just on the system itself. I don't have time to create the rotation as I go along and keep it fair. But that's just myopinion on it. I also can't have a program that crashes several times a night and you have to re-enter each of the songs that were in the playlist everytime you have to reboot the player. I have a friend who has to take a picture of the screen when his copy of KaraFun freezes on him so that he can re-enter each song as they were in the playlist before the freeze. Every program that I have used has saved the playlist so that if I ever have to restart the program, I can continue where I left off with zero work necessary to get the playlist back to where it was and if it did lose the list, all I would have to do is take from their history, which on the program I use after I go into settings and set it to only show the current session and pick from the songs listed that I know the singer hasn't done yet.

You are nuts. LOL. I use Karafun just to test songs, when I am home, or to practice stuff. When I first started doing this, I used it, and it was a pain in the (@$%&#!). I had to keep a paper rotation, since there is no rotation feature in the program. No song histories, no nothing. No THANKS!! I love Karma. It is all I use for shows. Easy, simple, all integrated, does everything I need.

To the last line of your post - it's free if you already have a library of songs, if not it costs over 100 a month which a one time purchase of any of the other Karaoke programs which have all the necessary features for running a professional show would cost.

Well remember she was originally touting kj's would only pay the $9.95 per month rate for streaming (which is for home use only). I will try to find that post.

I personally have the same attitude about KaraFun like I had about the CAVS systems. Unless they fixed all the bugs in their systems, they were totally unreliable. Not to mention that with streaming, not only do you have to worry about buffering in the middle of the song, at least what I saw at shows that a couple of hosts were using it which is why one of them went in with a friend and got themselves 2 libraries of discs that they converted to mp3+g. They are now considering switching from KaraFun to something else. But the other issue is Johnny sings a certain song everytime he goes to the KaraFun show. One week he goes to the show and can't sing that song because it's no longer available due to licensing on KaraFun's part. Do you think he's going to be a happy camper? The answer is no. I would rather own a legal copy of my library than one day discover that the songs that I use to play are no longer available to me.

KNF, that is the first professional appearing setup and photo you have ever presented.... except for Karafun. There might be some hope :)

PS and it looks like you dusted too!

Sorry mrmarog, but when it comes to karaoke software, KaraFun (Windows Free Version) is clearly the #1 choice for anyone running professional karaoke shows.

The KaraFun team has been working very hard with optimizing the software and adding many new features.

I started using KaraFun at the summer patio shows running it 24hrs a day 7 days a week. No crashes, no muss, no fuss. The software works flawless.

Key features I like most:

* Super fast track searching as you type
* Right-click on any track to immediately fade out previous track and starts to play next song
* right-click > add track to custom user playlist (Singer)
* Manually add a local disk folder and update it on the fly
* Current playing track auto fades to background music

There are many other features but the ones I've listed are very nice in a karaoke software

I went to a new place to sing over the last month and they were using Karafun. No rotation management that they were using, no playlist so they could hit play when the singer was on stage, they searched for the songs while I was waiting, key changer wouldn't work until the song was played, several songs buffered in the middle of my song.

That is not a professional program.

And just when she actually has something to contribute in a couple other threads - she totally discredits herself yet again with this asinine statement.
Karafun is a joke software for pro use anyway you want to look at it. EVERY show i've seen (and many here and other forums have witnessed and experienced the same thing) that ran Karafun has had locking/buffering issues, if they have to shut down there is no memory of the list so they have to re-enter everything and if a kj uses verbal requests - he needs to ask everyone who had a song in and hopefully remember the rotation order. No singer history, the playlist history is pretty much worthless IMO. To say it's the #1 program for any pro host is insane! XXX Sorry - wrong answer!!

Yep my experience and almost EVERY other kj and singer that i've talked to has had the same experience!
