I can definitely give you a list of songs that would stop a show dead (and not in a good way)! :madgo:

If interested, just ask (or look at some of the things that were posted on Singers Showcase)!

i'VE BEEN RUNNING TALENT CONTESTS SINCE THE 80'S, AT THIS MOMENT IS PLAYED OUT, SO IS ME AND MRS. JONES. WHAT YOU WANT IS A SONG THAT IS FAMILAR WITH YOUR AUDIANCE AND ONE THAT HAS A BUILD UP WITHA BIG ENDING, LIKE AT THIS MOMENT, BUT LIKE I SAID PEOPLE WERE SINING THAT SONG IN THE MID 80'S FOR THE HOT CONTEST SONG, WE WOULD HAVE FOUR TO FIVE PEOPLE SINGING IT IN ONE NIGHT, OH MY GAWD, I GOT SOOOOOO SICK OF HEARING IT AND SO DID EVERYONE ELSE.

Almost as sick as people are of reading posts in all CAPS..........

Anybody ever try some of todays music like Coldplay "The Scientist" or Train, "Drops of Jupiter", or Goo Goo Dolls "Iris" I would think these have a high degree of difficulty- especially Iris and Scientist since they have a key change in the chorus.

Anybody else do almost current or current stuff for contests?

if he'd had 100 posts, I can understand your comment...

djevan, got a favor to ask... can you please not post in caps?? In bulliten board / chat lingo, that usually means you're SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS!! LOL!

Welcome to the site... hope you like it here!

Sorry- you didn't see his other Posts that were just ads for his shows in all caps. They were removed.

You should know me better than to react w/out reason!!

I sing mostly new stuff (well, within the last 5 years or so). Sober by Tool seems to go over well, as well as an overused Lose Yourself by Eminem. As for show stoppers, I got a 50 dollar tip one time for singing Aerosmith's Dream On, probably because I've never heard anyone do it. Does that count?
